It is close to the beach A.K.A. vacant lot with broken bottles and sand.
No wifi like promised, which was a must for me. When I told them I wanted to check out early because there was no wifi for 24 hours, they told me they would give me a third of my money back even though I'd only stayed one night out of four. I finally got two thirds of my money back after waiting an hour and a half for a "manager". Also, everything was in USD including the restaurant and drinks, which really rips you off. To go to their extremely loud party at the hotel (which vibrated my room from 6 pm to 2 am), you had to pay $15 for all you can drink. Maybe this would be a good deal in Tucson, but not Mexico where Dos Equis are $1 and a bottle of Kahlua is $10.

The location was great, just a short distance from a store. Plus, it was only a mile away from Old Port – perfect for relaxation and fun in Rocky Point.

Appreciated this nice basic hotel: good food and very friendly staff. The property was in a good location near the ocean, restraunts and ocean and all the main attractions for what we wanted it for. Furthermore, on the mountain overlooking the beach.

Hotel is 1.5 miles from the Malecon with its restaurants and fresh fish/shrimp shops. American tv channels, comfortable bed. Only a half hour from Pinacate np.
Not many people staying there. Surrounding area quiet and dark. Not much happening for New Year, compared to the resort hotels west of town.

The staff at Hotel Baja were incredibly helpful and prompt. I asked for extra towels and they were delivered with a smile. The multilingual staff made communication easy. The pool was a highlight, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The hotel is also conveniently located near a beach. I had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel.
